End of Life FAQ

Information regarding P3F CEP's retirement.

After three years, P3F Community Enhancement Pack has been retired.

The pack will continue to work for the foreseeable future (PS2 games don't exactly get software updates), but it will no longer receive updates or support.

We'd like to thank all of the mod and tool creators who made this pack possible, as well as all of our wonderful users who provided feedback and encouragement over the years.

Why end support?

  • There is now a great setup guide for P3F that is actively maintained (see below).

  • The texture mods included with P3F CEP are not compatible with the popular P3F HD Overhaul Project, which was a cause of confusion and frustration for many users.

  • PCSX2 is approaching a stable 1.8 release and making major changes to the software, including how it loads patch files, that aren't compatible with P3F CEP.

  • The upcoming Persona 3 Reload has decreased user interest in playing P3F.

Where should I go from here?

If you're already using P3F CEP and are happy with it, you can simply continue using it.

  • Automatic updates are disabled in the copy of PCSX2 included with the pack, so there is no need to worry about an update breaking your mod setup.

If you are currently using P3F CEP but want to keep up-to-date with the latest mods and community developments, follow the Use the New Guide steps below.

If you're starting P3F modding from the beginning, you have two options:

Where is my save data?

  • Your save data is in your P3F Mods\Files\memcards folder.

  • Your save data can be backed up or transferred to another copy of PCSX2.

Where are my game / system files?

  • Your PS2 BIOS files are in your P3F Mods\Files\bios folder.

  • Your P3F ISO file is in your P3F Mods\Files\iso folder.

  • Your P3F ELF file is in your P3F Mods\Files\elf folder.
