Prepare Game Files

Set up core game files and extract SLUS_216.21.elf with P3F CEP-o-matic.

Introduction

We've created a program for you called P3F CEP-o-matic! (Yes, it's open-source.)

CEP-o-matic makes sure you have all the game files to play P3F and moves them to the correct locations in your P3F Mods\Files folder.

Run P3F CEP-o-matic

• Open your P3F Mods\Setup folder.

• Double-check that your dumped BIOS and ISO are both present, then launch .Prepare_Files.exe to start CEP-o-matic.

• CEP-o-matic will automatically do the following:

  • Locate your game ISO, verify it is a valid P3F disc image, and rename it to P3F.iso

  • Extract the SLUS_216.21.elf executable needed to emulate P3F with mods

  • Locate your PS2 BIOS, either as a packaged BIN file or as a collection of loose files.

  • Move everything into its correct location in P3F Mods\Files.

Just sit back and let CEP-o-matic do its thing!

I got a "Checksum is not valid!" error.

• Make sure you are using an unmodified North American copy of Persona 3 FES.

  • Modified disc images are not compatible. This includes the "undub patch." You can install a Japanese dub mod later using Aemulus.

  • Disc images from other regions are not compatible.

  • Vanilla Persona 3 is not compatible - you must have Persona 3 FES.

• If you're sure you have a proper copy of the game, try dumping the ISO again.

• Once the All finished! message appears, press Enter to end the program.
